What we protect against
- Fleas
The most common external skin parasite. Fleas cause severe itching, dermatitis and sores, and can transmit intestinal worms (tapeworms).
- Intestinal worms
They cause disease and can infect people.
- Ticks
A very common and dangerous parasite in the warmer months. Ticks transmit canine babesiosis, Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis and other diseases.
- Mosquitoes
As the climate warms, infected mosquitoes are appearing in our region and passing heartworm larvae (microfilariae) to dogs.
